My name is Jayne and I am a qualified Level 5 Clinical Duopody Reflexologist and Reiki Practitioner. I trained at the Inspira Academy of Reflexology, validated by Agored Cymru. I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists and I am fully comprehensively insured. I believe that reflexology as a complementary holistic therapy can be used successfully whether on its own or alongside conventional medicine.
My involvement in alternative therapies spans the last two decades, and I have personally experienced the huge benefits to health and well-being that they can offer. I worked in the exciting, but extremely stressful world of retail for over two decades, managing a winter ski business. During this time, I experienced the detrimental effect that stress can have on the mind and body and so I have a particular interest in the benefit of Reflexology and Reiki to combat stress.
Over the years, I have benefited from many alternative therapies, but my own journey with reflexology began when I was pregnant and suffering from some of the uncomfortable symptoms of pregnancy. Someone suggested reflexology to me and, after only a couple of treatments, I was amazed that my discomfort had been eased and so my interest in reflexology began. A few years later, I took my life in a different direction when my time in retail management ended, and at that crossroads I decided to follow my true inner spirit and train as a reflexologist.
My first Reiki treatment came about organically and I discovered the huge emotional layers that could be unearthed and released during a session. It had a profound effect on my life and I subsequently undertook my Reiki I training, followed by Reiki II.
Like many of you, I constantly juggle the intricacies of being a working parent and finding balance in life. I still try to find balance in my own life each day, but I feel that I am also helping others find theirs. I appreciate being able to see the benefits that Reflexology and Reiki can bring to people’s lives.
I am trained in the Duopody reflexology devised by Sue Alma Evans of the Inspira Academy, which works clinically and systematically through the organs of the body to restore balance physically and emotionally, and encourage the body to heal itself. This is one of many techniques I may use, as treatments are customised to each individual in order to optimise your body’s innate ability to self-heal. I believe it is important to keep learning so I am trained in various other techniques through continual development.
Alongside the Duopody technique, a wide range of complementary reflexology techniques may be used.

- Level 5 Practitioner Course in Duopody Reflexology
